VALUE STATEMENTS
Obedience: God’s Word says that if you love Jesus, you will obey Him. Obedience is an act of worship that is reflected both internally and externally. Submission to the Holy Spirit brings inner healing and cleansing which leads to Christian character and conduct.
Being Teachable, Available and Accountable: Remaining teachable, available to serve, and accountable for our attitudes and behaviors lead to spiritual maturity, builds the church and expands God’s kingdom.
Humility, Transparency, Integrity: There is no substitute for good character. We hold this value in highest esteem and filter all other values through this one. Uprightness, trustworthiness and transparency are our best foundation stones.
God’s Word: We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, inspired word. The Word of God builds faith, is trustworthy, and has authority in our lives.
The Local Church: We believe God instituted the local church to expand His kingdom here on earth. Individuals who are planted in a local church are under God’s spiritual covering and authority; and therefore, are in the best position to carry out God’s Kingdom principals.
Fellowship, Covenant Relationships, and Small Groups: The flavor of PCC is relationships, and fellowship is a huge component of everything we do. Life Changers small group Bible studies are the major vehicle for developing loving, covenant relationships. In these small group meetings, Biblical teaching is reinforced, as we grow spiritually and learn God’s word together, support one another, and allow others to hold us accountable.
Influencing the Culture in Which We Live:
We are to be salt and light to our world. Through Biblical principals, the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and our obedience to God’s word, we are called to impact our community in the political, social and educational realms.
Unity: We are united through a common vision and shared principals of ministry. We believe uniting the diverse areas of spiritual gifts, talents, skills, resources, and personalities of the church is vital to accomplish the vision God has given PCC.
Family: Married couples, singles, and single parents are a vital part of the PCC family. We especially love children and involve them in worship, teaching, and prayer ministries. Covenant relationships are important and this is reflected in our preaching, teaching, counseling, fellowship and freedom ministries.
Holy Spirit—Building Spiritual Gifts: Both in our personal and corporate life as believers, we welcome the moving of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are part of our basic belief system.
Excellence: We believe God deserves the best we have to offer; therefore we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything connected to the work of God.
Prayer: Prayer is central to who we are and all we do. There are many scheduled prayer times at PCC. Pre-service prayer every Sunday, altar calls, prayer during the worship service, monthly prayer ministry, study prayer times and more. We are also sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading us in prayer during the service. We have seen many miracles and received answered requests as we seek God through prayer.
Spontaneous Praise and Worship:
There is freedom at PCC that calls us to worship with abandon. The presence of the Holy Spirit is felt during worship services, and we are free to respond with clapping, dancing, lifting hands and singing spontaneous unrehearsed songs unto the Lord.
God’s Manifested Presence: As a church, our passion is to intimately know God and experience His presence. (Psalms 22:3).
